Step onto the ice of one of the most unique natural destinations in the world: Lappajärvi, Europe’s largest crater lake and part of the Impact Crater Lake UNESCO Global Geopark. Surrounded by the vast white landscape of the crater lake, you will experience the peaceful atmosphere of winter fishing. Drill a hole through the thick ice, lower your line into the deep crater waters, and feel the excitement as the first bite hits. This guided ice fishing adventure is designed especially for groups – whether you are a company team, group of friends, or international visitors looking for an authentic Finnish winter experience. We start at Hotel Kivitippu, where we go through safety instructions and detailed ice safety procedures. You will be provided with proper winter clothing and winter boots to ensure you stay warm and comfortable throughout the experience. After gearing up, we head together onto the frozen crater lake. As we move across the ice, your guide will share the fascinating story of how this unique meteorite crater was formed over 77 million years ago. We will target fish such as: Perch, Zander, Pike Even beginners are warmly welcome – our guide will teach you the basics of ice fishing techniques and help you succeed. Safety & Professionalism: Your fishing guide, Miika Lahnalampi, is a certified fishing guide with vessel operation, first aid, and safety certifications. Winter safety is always our top priority, and ice conditions are carefully monitored before every trip. All necessary ice fishing equipment, winter clothing, winter boots are included in the experience and warm berry juice.
