Lappajärvi museum

Lappajärvi Local Heritage Museum is located in the former courthouse in Hyytiälä, next to the old upper secondary school.

The museum’s permanent exhibition presents the history of the courthouse, the veteran heritage of Lappajärvi, and the history of the local parish. In addition, the museum hosts annually changing thematic exhibitions. The summer 2025 exhibition told the story of the Tulivuorirock event: “Tulivuorirock 1971–2016.”

In summer 2026, the exhibition “Tulivuorirock 1971–2016” remains on display in a renewed and updated form.
