On the tour at knife factory you will get to know the unique factory environment and decades-old working methods and machines.

Kauhava knife is made today in the same way as it was over a hundred years ago. On the tour, you can see the entire factory, all the materials as they come to us, and learn about the stages of knife making. We also make all the parts of the knives and their sheaths ourselves at the factory, so there is plenty to see. You’ll hear the history of Iisakki Järvenpää, our factory, and knife making in general. The old machines we use in production also play a big role, and they alone are worth seeing.

Two alternative factory tours available: An Experienced factory tour with refreshments is also possible in the evenings and weekends. History and tecnology focusing tour during the opening hours.

EXPERIENCED FACTORY TOUR

Experience a story-filled journey back in time, which begins in the 19th century. The tour is accompanied by savory and sweet snacks in the spirit of Iisakki. The entertaining factory tour is suitable many kind of groups, also for team building days, pre-Christmas parties etc.

The tour lasts approx. 2 hours, incl. refreshments. Price €37/person (incl. VAT 25.5%). Guided tours in Finnish/English. Discussion and answering also in swedish.
Group size 12–20 people. The tour can be tailored to suit a larger group.

TECHNIQUE AND HISTORY – FACTORY TOUR

The tour will give you a good idea of the history of knife making in Kauhava, working methods and the history of the knife factory itself.
Appr 1.5 hours, group max. 20 per. The tour can be booked on weekdays from Mo-Fri from 10 am to 4 pm. The tour price is 100 € / group (incl. VAT 25.5%) Guided tours in Finnish/English/Swedish.
