Seinäjoki City Theatre

Alvar Aalto designed the plans for the Seinäjoki City Theatre in 1968, but the building was completed under the direction of Elissa Aalto in 1987. The façade features a soft white ceramic rod surface, and the spacious lobby areas are furnished with Artek furniture.

A unique collection of six bent-wood reliefs designed by Aalto himself is displayed in the lobby. The main stage curtain, named Daidalos, was created by visual artist Juhana Blomstedt.
